The purpose of English Language Development (ELD) instruction is to actively engage English language learners (ELLs) in learning vocabulary, language structures and constructing meaning in order to bridge the academic achievement gap between ELLs and native English speakers.
Most English language schools only teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and fail to teach high level functional English skills or academic content-specific language. A strong emphasis on ELD is absolutely critical to equip each student with the functional English language skills they need to fully participate in content learning, whether in math, science, or social studies.
At Fiat Lux, we are committed to providing an excellent ELD program to allow students to have the English ability to excel in all of their subjects.

We offer private lessons for individuals or small groups. If you need dedicated instruction at the time most convenient to you, we can make it work with private lessons. Private lessons are available for students ages 6 and up.
Do you have a little one? Our Tots Enrichment Class is held in the mornings for ages 18 months to 3 years old. Our little ones love to laugh and play while making crafts, singing songs, and learning important life skills. We offer daily and monthly rates, and classes go from 8:30-12:00 every weekday.
